I've always been a ON fan boy. My first true protein love was ON Gold Standard Extreme Milk Chocolate (back when bb.com charged $43.99 for 5lbs).
So when I saw this on sale I had to give it a test.
Ingredients:
It's a mixed blend of proteins including hydrolyzed, concentrated and whey isolate. (As most proteins are these days). 22g protein, 5g BCAA and 3g glutamine.
I am bulking at the moment, which is a good thing as this protein has 4g of fat. The "cheaper" proteins tend to have this.
If you aren't cutting weight, this is definitely a good way to go based on what's in the container.
For my phase of training: 4/5
Taste:
I was expecting amazing flavor out of this. Every product from these guys I've had always does taste great. I ordered the chocolate milkshake and needless to say, it didn't let me down. It's not to thick or watery and it really put meaning to, "look forward to taking you shakes".

Ease of use:
"Mix-ibility", just great. You honestly can mix with as little as 3oz of water. A "shot" ON calls it. I usaully go with around 9oz. Chocolate whey protein is also a staple in my oatmeal meals and it mixes amazing with 1cup of oatmeal and skim milk (amount varies of preference). Actually it mixes better than the original Gold Standard in that scenario.

Value:
BodyBuilding.com charged me $39.99USD for 4lbs/50 servings (shipping was extra as always). Regardless this was the cheapest way for me to go. At that price, it was the best buy. In an ever inflating market, this should be something you should look at. Beginner gym rats and bodybuilders alike.
4.5/5
